Additionally the structure has been treated with multiple layers of weather resistant varnish. This wooden umbrella conveniently opens by using a manual lift system and a small brass plated pin secures the canopy when the umbrella is in an open position. Durable hubs support the eight ribs of the octagonal canopy. The fabric of this canopy is crafted from 100% solution dyed acrylic Sunbrella fabric. Sunbrella is able to withstand harsh conditions and has a three year warranty against fading. This canopy is also treated with a weather resistant finish which enhances water repellency preventing the umbrella shade from molding or mildewing. The single wind vent located at the top of the umbrella is designed to facilitate airflow which prevents the umbrella from inverting in high winds.
